Peoplevox Website

Descartes Systems Group

The challenge: Misbranded website created a poor user experience
The Peoplevox website was a mix of old and new content inherited from a product acquisition. The site was built prior to the acquisition, and as such, it did not conform to Descartes brand standards. More times than not, pages had outdated content, new product features were missing from the website entirely, and the brand “voice” was a mismatch for the new parent company.

The Solution: Enhance user experience through an entirely new design
The redesign was a challenge. Not only did the website have to look and feel like a Descartes property, it also had to maintain the playfulness and friendliness of the original site. To start, the content was streamlined to fit the Descartes “voice.”  The navigation was simplified, and many redundant pages were deleted or consolidated. A mix of stock photos and customer-supplied photography was used throughout the site, and the appropriate brand colors were applied. This helped maintain the spirit of the original site but with a much more “grown-up” look.

Result: Increased product awareness, increased web traffic, more signups
