The ShipRush website was a mashup of old and new content inherited from the product acquisition. Pages often had outdated content, it was difficult to navigate, and it was definitely not a good customer experience.
The redesign was a challenge. Not only did the website have to drive traffic to the signup page, it also had to be friendly, playful, and still maintain the look and feel of a Descartes property. To start, the navigation was simplified. Redundant pages were deleted, and the content was streamlined. Custom illustrations were used instead of predominantly stock photos. The colors used throughout were much brighter than the previous version.
By creating a destination where people could easily find the information they needed, ShipRush increased their conversions and their number of page views.
